FOLK DANCE GROUP " BESKID "

Children's Dancing and Singing Group called BESKID was etablishend in 1982. It presents artistically arranged folklore from various regions of Poland. The Group has been a winner of many native contests and festivals, the most important of which include festivals in Cieszyn, Rybnik and Przemysl. It also took part in international festivals in France, Holland, Jugoslavia and Hungary.

Presently it comprises three different age group:

5-7 years old, 7-10 years old and 10-14 years old.

Its programme includes:

1. a native dance called Polonez
2. Silesian dances from the area of Pscczyna
3. dances and games of Istebna mountaineers
4. the Rzeszowska Suite
5. dances and games of Silesian mountaineers
6. the Towicka Suite
7. the Suite of Zywiec mountaineers
8. Krakowiak - a native dance
